Valorant recently added the initiator KAY/O to its roster, but it appears that Riot Games is already working on the next agent 18. What happened to agent 17 now that KAY/O is agent 16? That is a topic for another time.
Floxayy and ValorLeaks, two well-known data miners and leakers, have already discovered new information about the 18th agent, codenamed 'Sprinter.' They discovered the handle "Sprinter" mentioned in the source string.
Riot Games appears to be hitting all cylinders when it comes to expanding the agent roster available in Valorant. With the recently introduced KAY/O in Episode 3 Act 1 and the sleek spy-looking ‘DEADEYE' being teased as the potential next agent in the official Valorant Anthem, fans have had a lot to deal with recently, which is a good thing because it keeps the hype for Valorant going.
In terms of abilities, the name gives a pretty good indication of what kind of ability kit the agent might have. According to fan theories, the agent could be a duelist with speed-focused abilities similar to Jett's dash. Octane in Apex Legends and Tracer in Overwatch are two duelist-like characters with speed-based abilities who have been compared to 'Sprinter'.
So, who will be Agent 18? Deadeye or Sprinter?
With so much content being released to fans, it can be a little perplexing. Although it appears unlikely, there is a chance that Riot is planning a first Dual agent release in Valorant in the coming acts. All we can do is wait. The next act begins on July 22, and hopefully, we will have some answers by then.
