Since its June release, KRAFTON's rebranded Battlegrounds Mobile India has become one of the country's most popular battle royale games. However, the game was only made available for Android users, leaving iOS users to wait for the game to be released on the iOS platform. Finally, BGMI has been officially released on iOS for iPhone and iPad users. Today is the Battleground Mobile India official launch date for iOS platform.
iPhone and iPad users can simply go to the App Store once the game is available, as the iOS version is currently only available for select users, to download the BGMI iOS version, though players under the age of 18 will need age verification and permission from a guardian to enjoy BGMI on their iOS devices.
With a size of 1.9GB, and you will need to be running iOS 11 or later on your devices to play the iOS version of BGMI. KRAFTON had been teasing the iOS release for a while now, owing to the large player base that prefers to play BGMI competitively on iPhones and iPads.
KRAFTON even postponed the BIS tournament series until the iOS version was released so that players could play on iOS devices. They even changed the rules so that devices other than Android devices could compete in the tournament. In our previous article about BGMI, we speculated that the company was planning to release an iOS version soon, possibly around the 50 million download mark, and KRAFTON did not disappoint.
With fans getting their wish and KRAFTON promising regular updates and support for the iOS version and it will be interesting to see how the iOS users on iOS devices will fare in the upcoming tournaments.
