PUBG Mobile World Invitational (PMWI) 2021 Unveiled With A $3 Million Prize Pool

PUBG Mobile World Invitational (PMWI) 2021

Since its inception, Pubg Mobile, the fan-favorite battle royale game, has experienced tremendous growth in terms of popularity, player base, and revenue generated. It's only natural to have an equally impressive esports ecosystem, complete with a slew of tournaments with massive prize pools.

Tencent has announced the PUBG Mobile World Invitational (PMWI) 2021, which will feature a charity prize pool of 3 million USD. This year's event, powered by Gamers Without Borders, will be held midseason, from July 22 to July 25.

The best teams from around the world will compete for the top spot in the standings so that they can choose a charity to which they will donate a large portion of their prize pool. So far, we know that OnePlus and NimoTV will be partnering with PUBG Mobile for this event.

James Yang, Tencent's chief executive of PUBG Mobile esports, confirmed at the end of last year that the PUBG Mobile World League 2021 will be canceled and replaced by invitationals.

Following the first half of the PUBG Mobile esports circuit, this will be the first ‘Invitational' event for the year 2021, closely followed by the Club Opens (PMCO) leading to the Pro Leagues (PMPL), and concluding the esports circuit for the year 2021 with the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC).

We don't know much about the tournament yet, so fans will have to wait for more information.
